They were created by Nico Goldstein to replace Nero's Devil Bringer arm, after it was ripped off by a mysterious hooded man. Some of the Devil Breakers are created using fragments of defeated demons to bestow them with certain abilities, such as slowing down time Whats interesting in DMC2 is that instead of different play styles, each weapon is the same, just with either longer reach, with weaker attacks, or shorter reach and stronger attacks. An enemy called Death Scissors appears in Devil May Cry 5, though it is more like a hybrid of both "Scissors" enemies tending more towards Sin Scissors. They fly, can travel through walls, and are immune to all attacks except those aimed at their heads. A stronger version of the Sins are the Deaths. The Key Items are collectible objects that are generally used to open special doors or solve puzzles, and are generally finite in number. The only exception to this is the Proud Soul, which is rewarded after every mission in Devil May Cry 4, and replaces Red Orbs as the currency used to purchase new abilities.
